El Gouna

El Gouna is the premier Red Sea holiday destination, a self sufficient resort town boasting 17 hotels and offering various activities.

The top part of the tree is the true story of Ms. Hoda and Mr. Dytze (a real couple living in El Gouna). The lower part is yours to fill however you desire.

 ROOT DOWN IN EL GOUNA

Problem:
With the rise of the emerging need for people to escape Cairo post-Egyptian Revolution, there was an opportunity to reposition Orascom's Elgouna resort from a seasonal vacation destination to a habitat. But people didn't know El Gouna is a fully sustained city.

Insight:
To consider moving to a new city, you need a home, a job, and facilities.

Solution:
An interactive sticker leaflet was placed in hotel rooms within the high season of Easter. You use iconic (occupations and facilities stickers), to create potential relationships and complete a family tree. By changing your choice of the sticker, the order of events changes - manifesting the many possibilities of El Gouna. For inspiration, the family tree started with a real couple's story.

Results:
A shift in attitude from usual sales office callers, from asking about summer houses to asking about facilities and business and occupation possibilities.

Sticker sheet with a variety of options such as different job opportunities for both sexes, workplaces and facilities, and future generations of the family tree.

NEIGHBOR REFERRAL CAMPAIGN

It’s nice to have friends and family as neighbors. It creates a cozy and warm mood, you can plan your trips together, reminisce about the good times, and remember inside jokes to make those around you feel left out. But wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy the company and get paid for it too?
